But it is December and there are still plenty of awesome content to watch this month. I find myself enticed to checkout some of off-the-radar movies and shows that made their way on the roster. You just never know what is good or not until you try.
Personally, I love a good corny as hell christmas movie. I like that alot of the Hallmark Christmas movies can be found in the feed. Sometimes, I can't help but indulge in them all on a lazy sunday. So yes, I might have one or two on my list. You know you might be interested so, it will be our little secret...and you are welcome :)
I don't think I will mention the exact amount of times I watched this adorably cute yet corny as heck romantic flick....but it definitly is one of my favorites. It stars Brenden Fehr ( Roswell ), Elizabeth Rohm ( Law & Order )and Laura Breckinridge. It does have 2 1/2 stars on Netflix.. but I always take ratings with a grain of salt and like to try things out for myself. I wasn't disappointed.
After a spontaneous kiss, a struggling designer ( Breckenridge ) ends up falling in love with her demanding boss's boyfriend (Fehr ) as she decorates his home for a Christmas party. ( As Shown on IMDb)
Definitely a top trending movie right now and absolutely worth the wait I endured since I never got around to seeing it in theaters. There are a lot of critics when it comes to CGI and a few casting choices but honestly I thought it was great. I sure hope you weren't deprived of a awesome disney classic growing up..but if just incase below is the sypnosis. Stars Sir Ben Kingsley, Idris Elba, Bill Murray, Scarlett Johansson, and Neel Sethi.
After a threat from the tiger Shere Khan ( Elba) forces him to flee the jungle, a man-cub named Mowgli (Sethi) embarks on a journey of self discovery with the help of panther, Bagheera ( Kingsley), and free spirited bear, Baloo(Murray). (As shown on IMDb)
I looked forward to seeing this after learning one of my favorite actors was working on it. I am a huge Daryl Dixon fan on The Walking Dead so when I heard Norman Reedus was cast, I was really wanting to watch it. Imagine my excitement to find it a few months ago.
As always you will find negative reviews from critics, but honestly I enjoyed it. I didn't have high unrealistic expectations but I thought it was a good movie.
Romy (Diane Kruger) is on holiday in the USA with her French husband, Richard (Gilles Lellouche). But the journey quickly turns into a settling of old scores for this worn out couple. After an ultimate fight, Romy decides to break free. She cuts off her ties to a stable and secure life that has become alienating and escapes to the unknown. (as shown on IMDb)
To be honest, I haven't quite finished this yet.
Although, I found it interesting and excited to start back. The story involves an epidemic that breaks out in Atlanta ( nope, not a zombie apocalypse) leaving half the city quarantined
I enjoyed seeing alot of familiar local faces that work here in the southeast as estabished and professional talent. The series is created by the same person who created the Vampire Diaries ( another of my favorite binge-worthy faves.)
It currently only has the 1st season.
I love any thrilling horror movie and this kept me at the edge of my seat. There was maybe one recognizable actor in the film. However, I thought it was a good movie that kept me intriqued.
The story is of a deaf writer living a solitary life away from everything only to find herself being targeted by a masked killer. I'm sure people will find it quite unbelievable given the character's circumstances and actions, but it was well worht the watch for me. ( Kate Siegel, John Gallagher Jr, Michael Trucco )
I mean who else is excited for this one???? ( P.S 4 more Days)
I grew up watching Full House and was absolutely ecstatic about the reboot. I watched the first season of Fuller House in one day's sitting and was in love with it. Even without the olsen twins, it still held it's own.
It follows up with the eldest daughter DJ Tanner ( Candace Cameron Bure), who recently lost her spouse and raising 3 boys ( Sounds Familiar). Her conversation with her baby boy, is overheard by family and friends and quite honestly a very heartbreaking moment. As I am sure any and every single parent can relate to that. Immediately they all rush in to try to help her out. Because afterall, thats what family is supposed be for, right?
You might remember the middle child Stephanie ( Jodie Sweetin) well, she is all grown up now. She along with that Kimmie Gibbler, comes to her aid. ( That would make them the Uncle Jessie and Joey) Leaving the rest of the gang to go live out the rest of their lives since they all kind of did their time raising the girls in the original series.
